Prologue

KABOOM! Another large energy blast took out a good half of a 
building. Fenix sat up and looked around. Must everything 
end this way? Couldn’t we have had a better chance? Confused, 
Fenix looked out his window. Many of the civilians were dying 
and others were being taken hostage. Fenix shook his head. 
He closed the blinds and opened the door. A small alien ran 
by carrying some provisions it had stolen from the town. Fenix 
watched it run off. He decided to follow it. Chasing aliens had 
to be better than doing nothing.

Suddenly, he heard the sound of footsteps behind him and quickly 
turned around. 

“Fenix?” the creature asked. 
“Yes.” He replied. 

“By the order of our master, The Dark Overlord, you are to be assimilated.” 

Fenix laughed. “Assimilated huh? What a lamer.” 

Fenix stared at the creature. It looked sort of like some kind of demon 
inside a robotic suit. It had blades coming off its arms and legs, and spikes 
coming off the shoulders. One arm had a gun instead of a hand, the other was 
normal. Fenix watched as the gun slowly lifted itself up and aimed dead center 
at his head. 

Fenix waited silently as the gun began to pull energy from the air and roll 
it into a ball-like shape. When the ball grew large enough, the creature let 
loose the energy. Fenix kicked the gun just as the energy was being released 
and it backfired on the robot. The robot’s head was completely removed from 
its neck, flew up into the air, and crashed down about four feet away. The 
body fell over and faded away. Fenix turned and ran as fast as he could. He 
could hear more footsteps running behind him. Suddenly he felt a big wave of 
heat fly past his head and explode on the ground. The creatures were shooting 
at him!

Fenix quickly turned a corner and ran into a hard object. He fell back and 
tried to focus on what happened. He looked up and saw a girl with long brown 
hair that reached clear down to her heels. She was wearing tight, bathing 
suit-like armor and had a gun in her hand which she was pointing right at his 
heart. 

“Going somewhere?” she asked. 

Fenix got up and dusted himself off. Just then, the robots came around the 
corner and all aimed at him as well. The girl looked up at them. 

“Disarm your weapons.” She said. 

“I’m sorry princess, but our orders from the Dark Overlord are to destroy 
all life forms in this sector.”, one of the robots replied. 

“Well the Dark Overlord has new plans. He sees the potential in these 
‘Life Forms’ and wishes they remain unharmed and be converted instead.” 

Some of the Robots disarmed themselves, while others didn’t move. 

“My mistress, I don’t wish to disobey, but the Dark Overlord gave me orders, 
and I must obey his orders no matter what his so called prin…” 

Zelda quickly charged a blast and unleashed it at the robot. The robot was 
blown into pieces and each faded away. 

“Will there be any other complaints?” 
The robots were silent.

“Very well, collect all the living ‘Life Forms’ and bring them to me.” 

One of the robots spoke up. “I’m afraid there are only 6 others.” 

“6!?” cried the astonished princess. 

“Yes your majesty.” 
“NO NO NO! This can’t be! The project can not be completed without 8 humans 
to support it.” 

Another robot interrupted. “I’m afraid all the other humans are gone.” 
“Then we will have to bring a human from another world.” 
“What other world?” queried a robot. 

“Earth.” 
“EARTH!” yelled the robots. 

“Yes. Bring an earthling to me at once, now I have heard enough, leave!” 

The robots turned and lifted up their pendants and held them in the air. 
A large wave of energy began spinning around till it created a portal. 
The robots leaped into it and vanished. The Girl turned back towards Fenix. 

“We have a lot of work to do with you and your friends.” 

Fenix looked away and thought of which human they might bring. He thought 
of what it would be like to be on earth right then. Little did he know, 
someone on Earth was looking out their own window, wishing for the exact 
opposite
