- SPACE KNIGHTS - Original Story written by: Josh (Rabbite) Morgan CHAPTER 3 “Now lets stop and think about this for a second!” “There are no seconds left! Your life is important.” Chris decided his last chance was to have a conversation with the demon. “You have no time left to decide you fate! You must fulfill your destiny!” “But I don’t want to fulfill my destiny! I want to be left alone!” “Fulfill your destiny” “No no NO!” “Fulfill your destiny” “NO I WON’T LET ME ESCAPE!” “No escape” “PLEASE I BEG OF YOU! LEAVE ME ALONE!” “You will never be alone.” ----------- Chris woke up and did his usual schedule for the morning. But this time when he went for his bike it was gone! “What the! I had a 16 numbered lock on that thing! No one can figure it out! How did they?” He sat down and felt depressed. “NONONO it isn’t fair! I can’t do anything without my bike!” It is almost impossible to know what someone feels inside when something in his or her life has changed in a good or bad way. And so it is impossible to say how Chris felt when he found out he had no way to pay off his house and he would be stuck in the dump forever. It was at that moment that Chris heard a sound of a gunshot. Startled he leaped up in a flash. A big man stepped out holding a somewhat large shotgun with a somewhat large dog by his side. “I’m sorry!” He said in a deep but annoying voice. “I didn’t see ya! Nyar nyar nyar!” “Hehe hoho.” Chris wasn’t too thrilled about nearly losing his head but decided not to say anything. “So uh, what are you hunting besides humans?” The man suddenly gave Chris an evil glare. “You got somtin ta say boy? Then you say it to my dog here. He’ll give ya a real warm welcome. Nyar Nyar Nyar!” Chris stepped back ready to make a run for it. Then suddenly someone dropped down from the ceiling and aimed a small pistol at the mans chest. “Step back.” Said the stranger. The man was petrified and ran off screaming. The stranger turned to Chris, “As for you, come with me.” Chris followed him into some sort of a compact spaceship just small enough to pass off as a bus. Chris stepped inside and saw a room full of high tech gadgets and scientific artifacts. “Woa!” Said Chris. “What kind of place is this?” “This is our shuttle, it will take you to the docking bay.” “What docking bay?” “You will see.” The man was quiet for a long while, it made Chris uneasy. He had the strangest feeling that he didn’t like the stranger. When they reached the docking bay Chris was ordered to step out of the shuttle. Once out Chris was examined and Scanned for any hostile equipment he might have with him. Chris was cleared and was lead into a room that made the shuttle look like a toothpick. Chris gazed in wonder at all of the computers. And was about to ask if they had any video games on one of them when someone spoke up, “Commander!” Chris the man looked over at this unusual man coming towards them. He was wearing skates and from the looks of them he hadn’t taken them off in years. Chris stared at him, he wasn’t much taller then the man but he felt small compared to him. “Commander, your Reference data cards are prepared.” “Good. I will tend to that later Raster, I’m a little busy with something.” Raster looked over at Chris. “Who’s this?” “This is who I am busy with.” “Oh. What is he a servant?” “No he’s a civilian.” Then after a few moments he added ‘He was a civilian.” Raster was quiet for a moment, then said, “Listen Commander, those data cords are kind of hard for a normal person to handle. Perhaps you should ten to it. I’ll take care of him.” The commander smiled, but it wasn’t a good smile like Chris had seen. It was some sort of a evil grin. “Very well Raster. I leave him in your hands.” He pushed Chris over to Raster and then called out, “Men! Prepare your Equipment. I believe it’s time to strike again.” “YES SIR!” Said all the men and they rushed out of the room into some door with the words “Unauthorized Area” on it. All the scientist’s and computer people left the room as well. Leaving Raster and Chris completely alone.
